Six Kinds of Shaped Seat
Each shape needs a template that records the wall line, front edge, angles, joints and cut-outs.
Bay window seat cushions
A bay window has three or more angled sides. We make the cushion from a template, as one piece or sections that meet at the angles. Tell us the angles and section breaks.
Curved bench cushions
A curved bench has a convex or concave front edge. We make the cushion to the curve from your template and confirm the radius on a sample.
Tapered seat cushions
A tapered seat is wider at one edge than the other. Give us both widths and the depth, and we make the cushion to the taper.
L-shaped and corner seat cushions
A corner seat turns through a right angle. We make it as one L-shaped piece or as two, and agree where the joint falls.
Banquette cushions in sections
A long banquette is normally split into sections that are easier to handle and fit. Tell us the total length, section breaks, ties and piping.
Seats with cut-outs
Posts, arms and pipes can interrupt a seat. Mark each cut-out on the template and we confirm how it is finished.

Can you make seat cushions with cut-outs for posts and arms?
Yes. Mark the position and size of each cut-out on the template. We confirm how the cut-out is finished, and check the shape on a sample before production.
Can shaped seat cushions be made in outdoor fabrics?
Yes. Choose Sunbrella or another outdoor fabric and outdoor-suited fill. We confirm the fabric, fill and components for outdoor conditions before quoting.
What should I send for a shaped seat cushion quote?
Send a paper template, photos of it in place with the main dimensions marked, the thickness, the fabric, the quantity and your target date. We confirm the specification against the brief before cutting.
