Trade blinds supplier for retailers and commercial projects
LuxAura is a trade blinds supplier for curtain retailers, interior designers and commercial projects. We supply made-to-measure blinds wholesale to the trade, with measuring and installation available for commercial blinds and residential projects in Sydney.

Cassette roller blinds with aluminium side channels
Our roller blinds are supplied with a cassette: an aluminium headbox that encloses the roll and brackets for a clean, finished look. Add aluminium side channels and the fabric edges run inside the channels, closing the side gaps where light usually escapes. It is our preferred specification for bedrooms, media rooms, hotel rooms and any space where light control matters.
- Record recess or face fix, and the depth available for the cassette.
- Choose blockout, light-filtering or screen fabric.
- Confirm side-channel fixing to the frame or reveal.
- Confirm manual or motorised operation, and the control side.
Why specify cassette and side channels
Cleaner finish. The cassette hides the roll, tube and brackets. Less light at the edges. Side channels close the side gaps of a standard roller blind. Tidier fabric edges. Channels keep the fabric straight and protect its edges. Ready for motorisation. Manual chain or motorised operation can be specified in the same cassette.
Fabrication & specification notes
Side channels minimise light gaps. Small amounts of light can still pass at the top or bottom, so describe the result to your client as “near-blockout”, not total darkness.

Top-down bottom-up electric roller blinds
A LuxAura top-down bottom-up roller blind can be positioned anywhere in the window, not only lowered from the top. Open the top for daylight while keeping the lower part covered for privacy, or move the whole blind as one. It is a motorised system, specified with power and control from the start.
- Choose the operating mode: conventional bottom-up travel, synchronous movement, or independent top and bottom opening.
- Confirm size limits, compatible fabrics, power, controls and mounting before quoting.
- Plan access for commissioning and service.

Honeycomb blinds
Honeycomb blinds use a cellular fabric that traps air inside each cell. They stack neatly at the top and suit bedrooms, skylights and spaces where your client wants a soft, insulating layer.
- Confirm cell size, light-filtering or blockout fabric, and operating mode.
- Check stack height and any frame or sash interference.
- Quote thermal values only from the tested product, not from a similar one.

Sheer shades
Sheer shades let your client move between a filtered view and privacy without raising the blind. We supply two styles, both suited to living areas, bedrooms and offices where daylight and outlook matter.
- Confirm the style, fabric and light transmission.
- Choose cassette colour and manual or motorised operation.
Compare sheer-shade styles
| Style | How it works |
|---|---|
| Banded sheer shades | Alternating sheer and opaque bands slide past each other to open the view or close for privacy. |
| Soft-vane sheer shades | Soft fabric vanes float between two sheer layers and tilt open or closed, giving a softer, layered look. |

Motorisation and control
Motorised blinds and curtain tracks are specified with the power route, controls and service access planned before installation. We supply Somfy, Dooya and A-OK systems.
- Choose battery, plug-in or hardwired power, and confirm who provides the electrical work.
- Select remote, wall switch, app or home automation control.
- Allow track geometry, returns and stack space for motorised curtain tracks.

Optional on-site service
Sydney measuring & installation support
Keep site responsibility clear from the first quote. Sydney trade and project orders can be supply only, measure only, install only, or measure and install. Our installation team works to your order and does not sell to your client.
- Measure openings, access constraints and relevant fixing conditions before production.
- Coordinate installation around the approved product, substrate, hardware and site readiness.
- Confirm power and commissioning responsibilities for motorised systems.
- Record who approves final dimensions and who supplies fixings or access equipment.
On-site support is not automatically included in product supply. It is separately assessed, scheduled and quoted after reviewing the suburb, site access and project brief.

Trade FAQ
Can LuxAura arrange measuring and installation in Sydney?
Yes. Sydney measuring, installation, or both can be requested for eligible trade projects. On-site support is separately scoped and quoted; availability, access, fixing substrate, power, final measurements and commissioning responsibilities are confirmed before the order proceeds.
Why specify a cassette roller blind?
The cassette encloses the roll and brackets for a clean finish, and pairs with aluminium side channels to reduce light gaps at the edges.
Do side channels make a roller blind fully blockout?
They minimise side light gaps, which makes a big difference in bedrooms and media rooms. A small amount of light can still pass at the top or bottom, so we describe the result as near-blockout.
Can roller blinds be motorised?
Yes. Cassette roller blinds, top-down bottom-up rollers, honeycomb blinds and sheer shades can be motorised with Somfy, Dooya or A-OK systems.
What is the lead time for blinds?
About 4 weeks from order.
What warranty applies to blinds?
Roller blinds, honeycomb blinds and sheer shades generally carry a 3-year warranty. Terms can vary by product and specification, so please contact our showroom to confirm the warranty for your selected product. Motors carry their brand warranty.
What is a top-down bottom-up roller blind?
An electric roller blind that can be positioned anywhere in the window, so the top can open for daylight while the lower part stays covered for privacy.
What is the difference between sheer shades and honeycomb blinds?
Sheer shades adjust between view and privacy, either with sheer and opaque bands or with soft fabric vanes. Honeycomb blinds use cellular fabric that stacks neatly and adds an insulating layer.
